Intro

The biggest Panini World Cup album ever made. With the tournament expanding to 48 teams for the first time, the 2026 collection runs to over a thousand stickers — comfortably past every previous World Cup album Panini has produced. It's Panini's 15th World Cup album, and it was unveiled at Wembley Stadium two days before hitting shelves worldwide.

What's in the album

Every one of the 48 qualified nations gets a two-page spread with 20 stickers:

• 1 team photo
• 18 player portraits

That's 960 stickers across the teams. The rest are the specials at the front of the album — the official emblem, the mascots, the tournament slogan, the match ball, host-country pages for Canada, Mexico and the USA, and a run of FIFA Museum stickers covering past World Cup winners.

Each nation is identified by a three-letter code (ENG, BRA, MEX and so on). Anything not tied to a specific team carries the FWC prefix. Teams appear in group/page order rather than alphabetically, so the album runs in the same sequence as the tournament draw.

Variants & specials

Panini Extra Stickers. An ultra-rare bonus subset inserted on average once every 100 packets. They're easy to spot: an action photo on the front, no number on the back, and a special logo. Each comes in four finishes — regular, bronze, silver and gold. They aren't needed to complete the album, which makes them pure chase material.

Coloured border parallels (North American editions). These aren't meant for the album at all — they're collectible variants of the base stickers, running from common blue parallels through to a 1-of-1 black edition. Orange parallels are exclusive to Amazon boxes; Panini's own online iCollect boxes carried a separate "Crumple" parallel run.

Regional editions. As always, Panini produces different album covers and finishes for different markets. The sticker checklist is the same, but cover art and some foil treatments vary — worth checking which edition you're collecting before arranging a swap with someone overseas.

About the competition

The 23rd World Cup and a tournament of firsts: the first with 48 teams, and the first hosted across three countries. Matches ran from 11 June to 19 July 2026 across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Spain won it, beating defending champions Argentina 1–0 after extra time in the final at New York New Jersey Stadium. Ferran Torres, on as a substitute, scored in the 106th minute. Argentina had played the whole of extra time with ten men after Enzo Fernández was sent off in stoppage time. It was Spain's second world title after 2010, and it ended Argentina's hopes of becoming the first back-to-back champions since Brazil in 1962. England took third place, beating France 6–4 in the bronze final in Miami.

Swapping notes

The base stickers are all printed in roughly equal quantities, so no single player number is genuinely rarer than another — which means almost every gap in your album is fillable through swaps. The exceptions are the foil specials and anything from the parallel runs, which behave more like trading cards than album stickers.
